The A66 has reopened both ways following its closure due to a road traffic accident involving a tanker and a car between A595 Main Road (Chapel Brow Roundabout) and A595 (The Fitz Roundabout).
Traffic has returned to normal and the accident has now been removed from the road.
A busy tourist route that connects Moffat to the Scottish Borders is set to re-open at 4pm today, after a section of the road collapsed last week.
A large area of road on the A708, near to Grey Mare's Tail, broke off into a stream after a night of heavy rainfall.
The road has been closed since 15th April and motorists have had to use a lengthy diversion along the A72 and A701.
The A66 has been re-opened at Appleby-in-Westmorland, following an earlier accident involving six vehicles.
