Serial child killer Robert Black, whose victims include a schoolgirl from the Borders, has died in prison in Northern Ireland, aged 68.
He murdered four schoolgirls in the 1980s, including Susan Maxwell from Cornhill-on-Tweed, just a mile from Coldstream.
He was eventually arrested in the Scottish Borders village of Stow, and given 12 life sentences.
The Northern Ireland Prison Service today confirmed an inmate had died in non-suspicious circumstances.
Prison sources have said the dead prisoner was Black.
Stow Primary school play park is to be officially opened by The Secretary of State for Scotland. Children staff and parents will join the formal ribbon cutting celebrations along with the Stow pipe band.
