David Stark says the procession in Hawick has made the town feel part of the Torch rely celebrations despite not being on the official route.
The Olympic torch isn't visiting Hawick in the Scottish Borders as it tours around the UK, but that hasn't stopped them celebrating.
Thousands of locals expected to line the streets as Hawick stages its own Olympic torch procession with it's own Olympic torch.
The town was the only major Borders location not to be included in the official torch relay.
People from different ethnic backgrounds or who were born outside the UK are being asked to wave the flag of their country of origin along the Olympic torch parade in Carlisle. A group called Multicultural Carlisle want to show how diverse the city is.
The group say around 30 different countries will be represented along the route when the relay comes to the city on June 20th and 21st. Among them are people from Canada, China, Czech Republic, Egypt and France.
Anyone interested in taking part is being asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org with their details by the 10th June.
