Recycling roadshows set for Carlisle

Recycling roadshows will be hosted by the council across Carlisle over June and July Credit: PA

A number of 'recycling roadshows' will take place around the city to inform residents of changes to recycling and refuse services.

Carlisle City Council have already extended their kerbside recycling service to more properties, and are requesting residents to sort their recycling differently.

The council say some residents will have to check their new collection calendar - which was said to have been delivered to households mid-May - to confirm the correct days to put out their recycling bags, bins and boxes; refuse and garden waste.

The roadshows will be taking place:

  • On Thursday 22 June at Asda in Kingstown from 9am to 1pm
  • On Saturday 24 June at Brampton Farmers’ Market from 9.30am to 1pm
  • On Saturday 1 July at Farmers’ Market in Carlisle city centre from 9.30am to 3.30pm

More information can be found on the council website.
