The police in the Borders have launched a major crackdown on rural crime.
They are targeting criminals in the East Berwickshire area and officers have been stopping van drivers on the A1 to check whether they are involved in legitimate businesses.
Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson says they are also trying to get people to take more crime prevention measures to protect themselves.
