The Tebay services on the southbound M6 is the only service station in the UK to get 5 stars in VisitEngland's rating scheme.
The rigorous inspection scheme of all 107 service stations in England, was undertaken over the last 12 months and revealed Tebay Services south, between J38 and J39 on the M6 in Cumbria – The Lake District as the 5 star stop.
Tebay Services, which grew out of the family farm, was the only service station in the UK to achieve this sort after accolade. Sarah Dunning CEO of Tebay services north and south said:
“We are delighted to have received the 5 star rating for Tebay south. We are also very proud of our team of staff who retain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation, as well as sharing with customers the areas which make us different, from home made food and freshly baked cakes by our in house team to the farm shop and butchers counter, the use of beef and lamb from our own farm and a family room with indoor and outdoor play.”
