Eleven hours of Live music and a big screen showing the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert from Buckingham Palace will launch Carlisle's biggest Music Festival.
Local Bands including I am Spartacus, So What! and Boom Dang all play today in the city centre. Later in the week highlights include soul diva Heidi Schaffrath, Death in Vegas and Birds Vs Planes.
Most of our events are spread across the city's venues but there's also the chance to see some of our finest local talent for free, playing every day in the city centre. We are starting small but our aim is to help support the music industry in Carlisle through putting on gigs and promoting education through music, entertaining the city at the same time.Everyone loves music of some description. It's an emotional bond, it transports you to distant places and memories. It has a real feelgood factor about it.We hope people get that feelgood factor as they walk around the city this week.
