Cumbria Police have named a woman who died after a road traffic collision in Windermere on Sunday.
Elizabeth Mary Robertson Thompson, 68, of Marlow, Buckinghamshire was a back seat passenger in a red Nissan Note that collided with a wall on the A592 Lake Road.
The driver of the vehicle, a 66 year old man from Kendal, was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with minor injuries.
The front seat passenger, a 67 year-old man from Buckinghamshire was taken to Furness General hospital also with minor injuries.
A second rear seat passenger, a woman from Kendal aged 77, suffered serious back, neck and leg injuries and was conveyed via air ambulance to the Preston Royal hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
