Man airlifted to hospital
A cyclist from Grasmere is in a critical condition at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary tonight after coming off his bike on Saturday.
He suffered life threatening injuries in the accident which occurred near Thirlmere ar around 10:15 am yesterday morning.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance’s Pride of Cumbria helicopter.
