Steve Borthwick, the former England rugby union captain, has been back in his home city of Carlisle. He was made an honorary fellow of the University of Cumbria in a ceremony at the cathedral.
He addressed undergraduates after they collected their degrees. The university had to make a special gown for Borthwick to fit his 54inch chest.
