Whitehaven hope to stage their own promotion party this season, but last night they were guests at someone else's celebration.
Barrow became the first team to clinch promotion from Championship One after beating Haven at Craven Park. It was close in the first half, but the home team ran riot after the break, eventually winning by 48 points to 16.
Whitehaven remain in 4th place in the table, which means they're still on course for promotion. But their neighbours Workington might beat them to the punch. Town will go up if they beat Doncaster next Thursday Night.
29-year-old Matt Campbell collapsed after running 22.5 miles. He received medical treatment at the scene, but died later in hospital.
