A calf has been rescued by Cumbria's fire brigade after falling down an embankment and getting caught in trees.
The calf was a Pedigree dairy shorthorn, called Sparkle. She recovering after her four hour ordeal.

A 300kg cow got stuck in trees, overhanging a 10m drop, after falling from a cliff above. Two fire crews had to use special equipment to free the animal at Thrimby near Penrith on Tuesday 28th August
