Wigton is celebrating a bumper 750th anniversary of the town's market chapter by launching its new town centre market.
The Prince of Wales visited the town in April this year to help celebrate the anniversary.
The official launch will begin at 8.30am and run throughout the day with street entertainment, musicians and face-painting.
The market will be held in Water Street car park, where Allerdale Borough Council and Geraud UK have been running the markets since 17th August.
The new market will be held every Friday.
