Quite a few places here had their wettest September on record.
For our region the Levens Hall in Cumbria found itself coping with the most rain over the last 30 days -over twice the monthly average.

Walney Island – Cumbria – 203 mm ( 217% )
Ravensworth – North Yorkshire – 145 mm ( 184 %)
Bridgefoot – Cumbria – 178 mm (182 %)
Spadeadam – Cumbria – 175 mm ( 163% )
Apart from the rain - this September is set to go down as a fairly average month overall,
Temperatures were about right – averaging out at just half a degree below normal.
And even though we had all that rain – we recorded the normal amount of sunshine too.
