Cumbria police have confirmed that a man's body has been found near the River Eden north of the village of Cargo on the outskirts of Carlisle.
It follows a search for a man in his 60s who was reported missing from Cargo.
Police, Coastguard, Mountain Rescue and RAF Boulmer were involved in the search along with local residents.In the early hours of 9th October the body of a man was found near to the River Eden in an area north of Cargo called 'Carr bed'.
Cumbria police are now working to formally identify the man and have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.
