Copeland Council need to make £2.6m cuts over the next two years. Councillors are due to announce plans which could see the Beacon Museum, Whitehaven Civic Hall and public toilets close and parking charges increase.

40 jobs are at risk after Copeland Council looks to save £2.6m over the next two years. If given the go ahead by the council's Cabinet, a three month public consultation will begin.

The Beacon Museum, Civic Hall and Whitehaven's Christmas lights are all at risk.
