A seventh person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Polish man in Carlisle last weekend, and is being held in custody along with six others.
The 18 year old man, who is from Poland but lives in Carlisle, was last night arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
Warrants for further detention were granted by the courts last night, giving police officers more time for questioning.
Piotr Kulinski, who was living in Carlisle but originated from Poland, was attacked on Arnside Road in the city on the morning of 14 October and later died from his injuries.
"We are absolutely dedicated to uncovering the evidence we need to give Mr Kulinski’s family the answers they deserve.
“We have been speaking to witnesses but are convinced there are more people out there who can help us. Please, if you were in the area at the time, or have any information that can help us piece together exactly what happened that morning or in the lead up to this tragedy, get in touch."
