There are concerns for hundreds of local jobs after the electronics store Comet confirmed it will go into administration.
The company has 15 outlets in the region, but has been struggling in recent times against competition from internet only retailers.
Comet will go into administration next week. It's believed the stores will stay open whilst attempts are made to find a buyer.
