Andy McNab is a bestselling action novelist who first found fame when he published Bravo Two Zero which was based in part on his own experiences as an SAS soldier.
During a distinguished military career, he fought in the First Gulf War, in the Middle and Far East, South and Central America and Northern Ireland and he's been awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and the Military Medal.
Now he's has published his twenty seventh action novel about an off duty SAS soldier who foils a terrorist plot on a Eurostar train to Paris.
Andy McNab continued his sell out tour of the country in Carlisle where he talked about his experiences.
As well as promoting his book he's also on a literary tour of schools to encourage children to improve their reading skills.
