The Christmas lights will be switched on in Dumfries at 5pm today, November 25.
The family entertainment gets underway at 1pm with a performance from the Dumfries Razzamataz Theatre School.
In the afternoon, Zoe Bestal and classical music with a modern twist will be provided by Voce.
Later the entertainment takes on a Scottish flavour with lively folk melodies from Jenn Butterworth and Laura-Beth Salter.
Santa gets in on the act at 4pm with a High Street procession before Silver Fox take to the stage to get the crowds singing along in the run up to the big switch on at 5pm.
