The Met office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.
Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and Cumbria have all been put on alert for sleet and snow.
Snow showers are expected on hills and higher routes, as well as ice on untreated surfaces.
People are being advised to take extra care.
The warning is in place until 3pm.
