A man who died after a crash involving two cars near Wigton has been named. He was 75 year old Michael John Telford from Warwick on Eden in Carlisle.
The crash happened on the B5302 near to Wheyrigg Hall just after 4pm on December 6th.
Mr Telford, who had been driving a Citroen Kew, was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary died shortly after.
The road was closed for around five hours. A 21 year old male driver from Maryport was treated for minor injuries and is helping police with their enquiries. The road was closed for five hours.
