A woman who was filmed playing golf, while claiming severe disability allowance, has been jailed for more than six months at Carlisle Crown Court.
Roberta Packman pleaded guilty to two counts of falsely claiming nearly forty thousand pounds in disability benefits over a period of five years.
The 58-year-old originally told the Department of Work and Pensions in 2006 that a back problem meant that she unable to walk un-aided and was in continuous pain.
Arriving at Carlisle Crown Court today and hiding beneath a shawl, the court heard that Roberta Packman had played golf in excess of a hundred times between 2006 and 2011 while having fraudulently claimed nearly forty thousand pounds.
