Cumbria's temporary chief constable Stuart Hyde's suspension is set to continue.
Richard Rhodes, the force's new police and crime commissioner, has completed his four-weekly review of the suspension and, while South Wales Police are still investigating allegations, Mr Hyde will remain suspended.
Mr Hyde was suspended in September following allegations of misconduct..

"Following a full briefing and given that the investigation by South Wales Police continues I have decided that Temporary Chief Constable Stuart Hyde should remain suspended.
"South Wales Police continue to investigate the allegations as swiftly as possible and it would be premature to offer any comments on its findings."
