A cloudy & mild night with strong winds, gusts up to 55mph at western coasts and for western slopes of hills.

A weather warning is in place for the risk of localised flooding.

SATURDAY: A gusty start with further outbreaks of rain, heavy in places. Winds will gradually ease. Colder, clearer weather develops from the north-west during the afternoon but it remains blustery with scattered showers.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Colder night. Showery rain, which could be wintry over hills.

SUNDAY: A cold start with a patchy frost and risk of icy stretches. Despite a dry start blustery showers are possible with further wet & windy weather from the west for the second half of the day.

NEW YEAR'S EVE: Windy. Rain at times. Wintry over hills.
