After heavy rain overnight and with further heavy rainfall forecast throughout the weekend people around the region are being warned to be prepared for flooding.
One flood warning is in place for Keswick campsite and there are flood alerts in force around Cumbria and southern Scotland.
They include areas along the River Eden from Appleby to Carlisle, the Solway coast and the Upper Derwent from Seathwaite to Derwentwater.
Further showers are predicted for tomorrow morning turning into heavy, sustained with heavy and rainfall in the afternoon, especially over higher ground.
Wet weather is expected to continue into the new year.
