Showers develop in the west. The Borders remains drier and clearer for longer.


Cold and clear in the east but showers, after midnight, will turn increasingly wintry, falling as snow above 300m. 2-4cm snow cover possible by dawn.

A strong westerly wind develops. Temperatures hover around freezing.

Frost & a Met Office 'Be Aware' warning for ICE


A cold, frosty and icy start in places. Further showers at first which will be wintry over hills.

The best of the brightness will be for eastern parts but a mostly cloudy and windy day with more rain moving in during the afternoon.

A Met Office 'Be Aware' warning is in place from 6pm Sunday for the risk of flooding as the rain will be prolonged, turn heavy at times and continue through the region into the first part of Monday.
