A couple from Southport who lost their dog whilst walking in the Lake District are asking anyone with information to get in touch.

Paul Meadows was walking on High Street, above Patterdale, on 18th December when the four-year-old Jack Russell, called Joey, took off after seeing other dogs.

Paul and his wife Wendy have been travelling up to Patterdale almost daily to search for their dog.

Joey is a black and white Jack Russell, who has a black and silver collar, a docked tail and is micro-chipped.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team or Cumbria Police.
