The 15-year-old was found dead in woodland in Kendal on Friday night (4th January).
“The entire school is in a state of shock following the sudden and tragic death of Helena Farrell who was in year 11. Helena was a remarkable young lady.
"As well as being a talented singer who sang with the Amabile Choir shehad achieved Grade 7 Cello and played in the Westmorland Youth Orchestra.
"She was on track to achieve A*s and A’s in her GCSEs. Helena was a much loved member of the School and this tragedy will leave a tremendous hole in our community. Ourthoughts are with the family and friends at this sad time.”
