Cumbria Police have named a walker who died after falling in Great Langdale.
47-year-old Stephen Kevin Aindow from Southport was walking with friends in the Crinkle Crags area on Saturday when he fell while walking on difficult ground between Shelter Crag and Gunson Knott.
Members of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team and a helicopter from RAF Valley were called to assist the rescue but Mr Aindow died at the scene.

The victim initially thought strangers Kabir Hussain and Marco Martins were trying to help her as she left a pub in the early hours.
