Cumbria Police say that they were called to a farm in Workington at around 6.25pm on Friday 11th of January to reports of a sudden death.
A man in his 40s was found dead in an outdoor shed.
The police have yet to name the man but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Health and Safety Executive spokesman said they were aware of the tragedy.
