An elderly man has died after being hit by a car in the car park of Penrith Hospital.
The incident, involving a Suzuki swift car driven by a woman, happened at around 11.25am this morning (16th January).
The man is believed to be from the Penrith area.
Anyone who witnessed the accident have been asked to contact the Road Policing Unit at Cumbria Police by phoning 101.
