A memorial to the famous rugby commentator, Bill McLaren, will be unveiled in his hometown of Hawick next month.
Known as 'the Voice of Rugby', Bill McLaren spent 49 years behind the microphone. He died aged 86 in Hawick in 2010.
The £11, 500 work was commissioned by Hawick Community Council, who funded the project through donations.
Rob Brydon, who was behind the scheme, said:
"I can't praise the sculptors highly enough."They didn't take it off a photograph, it was more off video tapes and I
think they have got it spot on.
"We are delighted with it."
The unveiling will take place at a ceremony in Hawick, on 19th February.
