Police are appealing for information after six chickens were stabbed to death with a garden fork in Whitehaven.
They were found by allotment holder Stephen Corkhill, when he went to feed them on 23rd January.
“It’s just sickening. I had those chickens since they hatched and I’ve brought them up myself. They are laying hens and can be replaced but I also keep show birds and if anything had happened to them then they are irreplaceable.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101.
