Scottish budget set to be approved

MSPs vote today (6th February) to give final approval to the Scottish Government's budget for next year.

Finance Secretary John Swinney has already set out plans for how he will spend £28.4 billion in 2013/14.

Opposition leaders are calling for him to reverse cuts to colleges and rail infrastructure and invest more cash in housing.

The SNP's overall majority in Holyrood means Mr Swinney does not need to make any concessions for the budget to pass.
