Rugby personalities past and present will be out on force on Tuesday for the unveiling of a bust in memory of legendary commentator Bill McLaren, who died in January 2010 aged 86.
Community councillors in Hawick, Roxburghshire, hope that the £11,500 statue in Wilton Lodge Park and a planned rugby heritage centre will become a tourist attraction.
Hawick Commuity Council funded the project through public subscription and donations from local organisations.The unveiling ceremony will take place on Tuesday at 11a.m. and those attending are urged to park vehicles in the Common Haugh to ease congestion around the entrance to Wilton Park.
