A bust commemorating the life of the legendary rugby commentator Bill McLaren is being unveiled in Hawick.
The statue of the rugby master, who died in January 2010 aged 80, cost £11,500 and is based in Wilton Lodge Park.
Councillors are hoping that it will become a tourist attraction, along with a proposed rugby heritage centre.
