Sunday: Frosty and icy start in places. West is best for sunshine. A mainly dry day but a few showers possible in the east under cloudier skies. Temperatures still struggling to get higher than 4C and a raw northeast breeze, especially for the North Sea coastline.
According to provisional Met Office statistics this has been the coldest March for 50 years.
