Weather: Overnight into Sunday

West Cumbria by DAVID FOX of Cleator

Overnight: Many places dry. Clearer in the west. Thicker cloud in the east which could bring a few wintry showers. Risk of ice overnight with a widespread frost. Lows of -2C.

Sunday: Frosty and icy start in places. West is best for sunshine. A mainly dry day but a few showers possible in the east under cloudier skies. Temperatures still struggling to get higher than 4C and a raw northeast breeze, especially for the North Sea coastline.
