Weather: Overnight into Monday

Solway Firth by BOB LITTLE

Overnight: Mainly dry but the risk of a few showers feeding in on the northeasterly airflow. A few icy patches possible and a widespread frost. Cold with lows of -3C away from towns and cities.

Monday: A few mist patches may linger where any clearer breaks develop overnight. A mainly dry and rather cloudy day with occasional sunny spells. There's a chance of some scattered showers in the east, less wintry than in recent days. Highs of 4/5C. The light but cold northeast breeze remains.
