Peter Beck-Samuels, Chairman of Moffat Town Hall Redevelopment Trust said:
"This is just phase one of what we want to do.
"Most of the £600,00 will be spent on the roof and exterior, making it a focal point in the town once more.
"Inside work will be done to the stage and library too. It will really breathe life back into the building."
