Work is continuing to reconnect thousands of people in Dumfries and Galloway left without power. 10,000 people were affected by the high winds and heavy snow and on Sunday afternoon, 2000 homes were still cut off.
Those people affected live in Machars area and include Whithorn, Garlieston, Ardwell, Monreith, Corsewell, Port William and Drummore. Scottish Power say engineers are working tirelessly to get people reconnected
Emergency supplies of food and water are being supplied to the area today. Dumfries and Galloway Council have over 170 snow clearing and gritting vehicles out across the region clearing roads.
