Ryan Mania released from hospital

Ryan Mania has been released from Newcastle Hospital, after an MRI scan to his back and neck revealed only minor injuries.

The 23-year-old Grand National champion jockey was being treated after falling from his horse in a race at Hexham on Sunday (7th April).

A homecoming parade is being organised in his home town of Galashiels this evening, where residents will celebrate his achievement.
