Bogus builders in the region are being warned that there's nowhere to hide, with the launch of a new initiative to target the problem.
Today was a so called 'day of action' as police in Dumfries and Galloway performed road side checks and high visibility patrols.
The aim is simple - to protect vulnerable people from being ripped off by rogue traders.
