Carlisle United Manager signs new contract

Carlisle United Manager Greg Abbot has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Brunton Park.

The 49-year-old joined the playing staff as first team and reserve team coach in July 2006 and is currently the football league's fourth longest serving manager.

Assistant manager Graham Kavanagh and first team coach Tony Caig have also agreed new one year contracts to continue in their current roles at the club.

The managing director of the club, John Nixon said:

“We’re now in a position to move on with the important task of getting the club ready, at all levels, for the season ahead.”
