Two-year-old "seriously injured" after collision

Cumbria Police say a two-year-old boy has suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision near Kendal.

The collision happened at around 3.40pm on Sunday (26th May), outside the Eagle and Child pub in Staveley.

The boy was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he is now in a stable condition.

A grey landrover freelander was involved in the incident and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
