The launch for the Carlisle stage of this year's Tour of Britain cycle race has taken place this morning.
Stage two of the challenge will start from the city centre on September the 16, when some of the world's leading cyclists will race to Kendal via West Cumbria and the Lake District.
Each stage is being launched separately, to help maximise publicity on the back of another British victory in the Tour de France at the weekend.
