MP Tim Farron says there have been a number of accidents along the A684 between Sedbergh and Kendal.
Cumbria County Council said the road was resurfaced four years ago. The council has now put up signs asking people to slow down but denies that the road is to blame.
Fiona Marley-Patterson reports.
