Police say there could have been deaths or injuries after a gas pipe ruptured in a suspected arson attack. Eighty people had to leave their homes during the fire outside flats in Dumfries last night, October 31.
Residents spent a number of hours at a local community centre before being allowed home. Police have condemned the sheer stupidity of the vandals who set fire to some wheelie bins.
