A pub in Kendal that's been closed for six years has been converted into seven supported living flats for vulnerable young people with learning disabilities.

New flats help young people live independently from family

Vulnerable young people are celebrating the opening of their new homes in south Cumbria.

The supported living-flats have been converted from an historic vacant building in the centre of Kendal. It had been derelict for several years.

Now, it has been transformed into eight units for young people, allowing them to take care of themselves.
