A pub in Kendal that's been closed for six years has been converted into seven supported living flats for vulnerable young people with learning disabilities.
Fairoak housing has over 40 more people on the waiting list for similar accommodation in Cumbria.
Around 20 of them want housing in the Kendal area.
South Lakeland District Council gave the project a grant of £100,000 to get the building work started.
